Overwhelming support for team appreciated

On June 19, 2016, the 8U Covington County All-Stars won the Alabama Babe Ruth State Championship in softball. With this accomplishment the girls earned the opportunity to go to Mountain Home, Ark., and compete in the SW Regional Tournament. We knew it would be hard and we would have to get busy right away to help raise the money it requires to give these girls this amazing experience. We were immediately overwhelmed with the support of local businesses, individuals, and the whole community.
We want to say THANK YOU to each and every person who has helped us in any way. Thank you to Hart’s Grocery for letting us have a lemonade stand and Walmart for letting us take up donations outside their business. The community really stepped up and helped us greatly during these events. We also want to thank all our sponsors: PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, Hilltop, E & E Sports, LLC, Andy Cable, Covington Heavy Duty Parts, ADTC, Beef ‘O’ Brady’s, JM Jackson, CCB Community Bank, Bailey’s Pharmacy, Covington Eye Care (Opp), Andalusia Farmer’s Co-op, Newman Photography, Grande Salon & Spa, David’s Catfish, Carter Contracting Services, Inc., Performance Kwik Change, Dr. Holland at Covington Bone & Joint, Jackson Honda, Town of Red Level, Steamboat, Huddle, House, Employees of Mitchell Nissan (Enterprise), The Kearns Group LLC, Norris Deer Processing, Covington Family Care, SEC Lung, Opp Co-Op, Andalusia Ford, SEAGD, and Covington Pediatrics.
There are several more that have asked not to be recognized but we want everyone to know that this trip would not be possible without each of your donations!! We ask that you please keep us in your prayers as we travel and compete in this tournament. We are grateful to be a part of such a wonderful community!!!
Thank You,
Covington County 8U All-Stars
