Saying goodbye to great coach

Over the past couple of years I’ve gotten to know Opp Lady Bobcat softball coach Jimmy Reeves pretty well and he is a guy that I will truly miss getting to watch coach.
His love for his players and for the game is very evident when watching him coach.
Also he never shies away from telling you about his love for Christ, and that is also evident in how he coaches.
Reeves has told me on numerous occasions that he believes coaches have some of the best platforms to share the word of God.
That’s something that Reeves has taken to heart.
He isn’t one that is going to force his beliefs on you, but if the opportunity arises he isn’t scared to tell you how much he loves Christ.
That’s part of what has made him a shining example to all the athletes, parents, fellow teachers, coaches and administration that he has crossed paths with in his 30 years of coaching.
I say all of that to say this, Coach Reeves, you have impacted my life just by being around you and seeing how you carry yourself and those around you. I’m going to miss seeing you around the ballpark in the spring.
