WSFA will feature the Florala cold case that recently was solved with a jailhouse confession.

Ed Smith was murdered at the filling station he ran in 1978, just at closing time. David Bonner was tried for the murder, and acquitted.

Earlier this year, Bonner, who is serving time in another case, met with Ed Smith’s son, Charles, and confessed to the murder.

WSFA’s segment will air at 10 p.m. Thursday.
