Libertyville residents and those who travel through Libertyville need to make alterative arrangements to receive their weather information.

EMA director Susan Harris said the outside warning siren in the Libertyville area is not working due to a lightning strike.

“It could be a couple of weeks before it is in working condition but parts have been ordered,” she said. “We will notify everyone when it is up and running again.”
