Andalusia Regional Hospital will celebrate 50 years of caring for the community Saturday and the public is invited to take part in the festivities.

Events kick off at 8 a.m. with the ARH Legacy of Caring 5K Run, and at 9:30 a.m., there will be a dedication of the hospital’s “Legacy of Caring Garden.”

The AFD will demonstrate the smoke house; the sheriff’s department will have simulation goggles; a LifeFlight chopper will be on hand along with local EMS; health-related vendors will share information about local services.

Additionally, there will be entertainment, refreshments and door prizes.
