Tigers in must win situation

Straughn’s baseball team finds itself in a must win situation after falling 17-4 to the Headland Rams Thursday night in Straughn.
The Tigers will need to win two games tomorrow against the Rams for a chance to make the playoffs.
Headland scored first in the top of the opening inning, but the Tigers battled back and took a 2-1 lead off a two-run single from starting pitcher Shane Jones.
The Rams tied the game in the second inning, but Straughn answered back with a run in the bottom of the second to go up 3-2.
However, the Rams broke through with six runs in the top of the third inning to go on top 8-3.
Headland added two runs in the top of the fourth and seven runs in the top of the fifth.
Straughn couldn’t plate any runs in the bottom of the fifth leaving the Tigers with a 17-4 defeat.
