Straughn Elementary School’s third, fourth, and fifth graders have been busy preparing for next week’s ACTAspire, Alabama’s standards-based assessment system that gauges student performance in reading, mathematics and science. Some students will take the tests online, while others will be administered paper tests.

“After testing, students will be celebrated for their perfect attendance during testing and giving 100 percent during testing with a special movie, baseball, hotdogs, and more,” said SES Principal Bettye Anne Older.
