The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles needed just three innings to knock off McKenzie 15-0 Tuesday night in Pleasant Home as Tiffany Knoll spun a no-hitter.
Knoll went to work in the pitching circle in the top of the first and sat down the McKenzie batters in order to start the game.
In the bottom of the first inning, Abby Walker led off with a single and Sissy Martin and Anna Bulger earned free passes to load the bases early for the Lady Eagles.
Cassidy Godwin came up and laced a double into center field that cleared the bases and gave Pleasant Home an early 3-0 lead.
The Lady Eagles loaded the bases back up when Taylor McGhee drew a walk, and Amy Bulger was hit by a pitch.
Godwin scored on a steal of home and walk to Hope Gunter kept the bases juiced for the Lady Eagles.
Walker walked in a run and then Martin singled hard to center allowing Amy Bulger and Gunter to score for a 7-0 lead heading into the second inning.
After Knoll kept McKenzie off the scoreboard in the top of the second inning, Gunter came up in the bottom of the second inning with two outs and ripped a triple that scored McGhee and Amy Bulger.
Gunter then stole home to put the Lady Eagles on top 10-0 heading into the third inning.
McGhee continued her strong night in the pitching circle, as she sat down the McKenzie batters down in order for the second time in three innings. McGhee walked one batter in the top of the second for McKenzie’s only base runner of the game.
Anna Bulger drew a walk to start the bottom of the third inning and after stealing second and third, Bulger came around to score on a single from Godwin.
McGhee followed with a walk and Amy Bulger then drove in two runs with a triple to push the Pleasant Home lead up to 13-0.
Amy Bulger stole home and Martin walked in the Sammi Stamnes to give the Lady Eagles a 15-0 victory.
