An Alabama Department of Transportation project began this week that will include work in Florala, Andalusia, New Brockton, Enterprise, and Elba.

Throughout the areas listed there will be American with Disabilities Act (ADA) handicap modifications made to existing sidewalks along state routes at various locations.

There will be intermittent partial lane closures throughout the project. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the construction zone.

The $271,797.00 contract was awarded to Triple J Construction, LLC., out of Crane Hill, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met project requirements. The contract allows for 75 working days.
