The Opp City Council this week sold two plots of land to two different businesses.
The first was 2.86 acres of land to Peros LLC, doing business as Custom Collars.
The city sold the land, which is off of Patterson Drive in Opp and connects to the current Custom Collars land, for $8,500.
City Planner Jason Bryan said that Custom Collars is doing well.
“They plan on moving in a feed mill,” he said. “They are doing business worldwide. “
Additionally, the city sold 16.6 acres of land to Pinnacle Ag Holdings for $49,800.
The property is located off of Hwy. 331, beginning at the Northwest Corner of Capital Hills Estates.
Bryan said Pinnacle Ag Holdings plans to put $5 million into a facility and will be a warehouse with a retail front to begin with.
It will also employ around 20 people.
Bryan said they hope to have a fertilizer plant operating in 2017.
