Andalusia Isshinryu makes strong showning

Members of the Andalusia Isshinryu Karate recently competed in the Gulf Coast Martial Arts Championship held in Crestview, Fla.
The event was hosted by Gordon’s Martial Arts in Crestview and competitors competed in weapons, forms and fighting divisions for their age and belt rank.
The Andalusia students made a strong showing, with a total of 10 first place finishes.
Nathanel Walker picked up first place finishes in brown belt weapons, brown belt kata and adult brown belt fighting.
Konner Owens placed first in brown belt fighting and third place in brown belt kata.
Cameron Tankersley placed third in brown belt fighting.
Dr. Keith Tankersley landed in first place in brown belt kata and second place in brown belt weapons and fighting.
Landon Caldwell finished first in brown belt kata and brown belt fighting and third place in brown belt weapons.
Rexanne Bulter came in third place in black belt kata.
Taj Patel was first place in black belt fighting, first place in black belt weapons and third place in black belt musical forms and black belt weapons.
Allen Butler had a first place finish in black belt fighting and second place finishes in black belt weapons and black belt kata.
