Eagles break out the broom

The Pleasant Home Eagles have been on roll as of late and picked up another sweep Tuesday night in McKenzie.
In the B-team action, Pleasant Home stomped the Tigers for a 43-9 victory.
Marvin Fantroy led the Eagles with 15 points and Austin Kelley tacked on 7 points.
The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles (15-3) picked up their 14th win in a row with a 66-42 victory over the Lady Tigers.
River Baldwin got the Lady Eagles out to a tremendous start with 16 points in the opening period to put Pleasant Home on top 26-9.
Baldwin added 19 more points in the third period and she finished the night with a game-high 39 points.
Cassidy Godwin added 12 points for the Lady Eagles.
In varsity boys’ action, the Eagles (11-10) picked up their sixth consecutive victory with a 68-38 win over McKenzie.
Robert Scott got things heated up in the first period with a pair of 3-pointers to put Pleasant Home on top 13-9 after one period of play.
A strong second period effort from Scott, Walt Weaver and Nic Woods put the Eagles on top 36-23 at halftime.
The Eagles’ defense shutdown the Tigers in the third period, and held a 52-28 lead heading into the final period of play.
In the final period, the Pleasant Home defense continued to thrive as the held the Tigers to just 10 points in the final period.
Scott led the Eagles with 18 points in the win.
Weaver finished the night with 13 points.
Woods and Aaron Warthen each finished with 9 points in the win.
