Pleasant Home sweeps Brantley

The Pleasant Home Eagles picked up big area wins Friday night over the Brantley Bulldogs in Brantley.
In varsity girls’ action, the Lady Eagles knocked off the Lady Bulldogs 31-28.
At the end of the first period, the Lady Eagles were on top 8-2, but came scorching out in the second period and took a 22-13 lead into the half.
The Lady Eagles picked up nine more points in the second half to give Pleasant Home the win.
River Baldwin led the Lady Eagles with 21 points.
In varsity boys’ action, Pleasant Home used a strong fourth period to beat the Bulldogs 40-36.
Pleasant Home trailed 15-14 at the end of the first period, but rallied back in the second to take a 24-21 lead into halftime.
Both teams had trouble getting shots to fall in the third period, and heading into the fourth the game was tied 26-26.
Robert Scott put the team on his back in the final period with 7 points including a 5-for-6 effort at the free throw line to give the Eagles the win.
Scott led the Eagles with 14 points, and Nic Woods finished with 12 points.
The Eagles won the B-team game by a final of 32-29. Mason Kelley led the Eagles with 13 points.
