Tigers fall to J.F. Shields at buzzer

The Red Level Tigers had the lead late in fourth period, but a buzzer-beater from J.F. Shields gave them a 39-38 win over the Tigers Thursday night in Red Level.
There wasn’t much scoring in the opening period from either team, but Red Level had an 8-2 lead at the end of the first period.
Ontaryo Nearor picked up 6 points in the opening period for the Tigers.
J.F. Shields began to pick things up the second period, and at halftime Red Level was on top 16-14.
Jeffery Perdue had 3 points to lead the way for the Tigers in the second period.
Both teams picked up the pace in the third period, and it was tied 28-28 heading into the final period.
Hunter Carpenter and Perdue each picked up 4 points in the third period for the Tigers.
It was a back-and-forth game for the entire final period, and J.F. Shields connected with a buzzer-beater to top the Tigers 39-38.
Perdue was the leading scorer for Red Level with 13 points.
Devon Dexter added 9 for the Tigers and Carpenter finished the night with 6 points.
