George Kirvin Williford Sr.

George Kirvin Williford Sr., age 81, of Gantt, passed away Thurs., Nov. 26, 2015, in Enterprise with family and friends at his side. A celebration of life will be held Fri., Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating. Visitation will follow at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice “Bunny” Stevens Williford; son, George K. “Chuck” Williford Jr.; parents Horace E. and Sallie Lou Nix Williford; sister, Darcus Ann Sport; brothers, Horace E. “Dugan” Williford Jr. and Charles “Charlie” Williford; three brothers-in-law, Richard W. Rhodes, Ray Coots and Pete Whitehead; and four nephews, William “Spud” Terry Sport Jr., Charles “Charlie II” Williford, Bart Kelly and Jason Jeffcoat.

Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Lou Mock; grandchildren, Tara Mock and her sons, Will and Brett; Hunter Mock and his children, Hunter and Montanna; and Heather Williford and her daughter, Addi; a loving companion, Lana Jane Barbaree and her loving sons and their families; brother, Henry “Fats” Williford (Diane); sisters, Sandra Walker (friend “Bucky”), Linda Lou Green, Sherry Wood, Betty Faye Harp (Bill), Peggy Kaye Stinson (Jim), Pam Coots and Cindy Whitehead; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Stevens Mayhew and Martie Williford; brother-in-law, Terry Sport (Dot); many nieces and nephews; other family members; and very special friends. Rex Chandler Jones

Mr. Rex Chandler Jones, 76, of Gantt, passed away Tues., Dec. 1, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 3, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Scotty Harris officiating the service. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Snowdoun, Ala. Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wed. at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Esther Jones of Gantt; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clark and Anita Jones of Montgomery, Dr. Troy and Angie Jones of Andalusia; a daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Adam Creel of Birmingham; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Janelle Wilkes of Dadeville.

Pallbearers will be Chandler Jones, J. W. Jones, Buddy Wilkes, Jake Mastroianni, Daniel Paulk, Joshua Jones, and Calen Jones.
