A cleaning lady alerted the Andalusia Fire Department to a house fire in the Country Club area on Monday afternoon.

“A cleaning lady was at the home putting some things away in a closet, and when she opened the door the inside of the closet was on fire,” Fire Chief Ethan Dorsey said.

The house belonging to Deamian and Tavia Fischer is located on Devonwood Drive in Andalusia.

No injuries were reported.

Dorsey said that the cause of the fire had not been determined when the Star-News went to press.
