Straughn prepares for region opponent

After a loss in their first game of the season, the Straughn Tigers (0-1) are looking to bounce back with a region win against St. James (0-2) tonight in Straughn.
In a hard fought contest, the Tigers fell 21-18 in their opening game of the season to the fourth ranked Opp Bobcats.
This will be the fourth time Straughn and St. James have clashed, with St. James holding a 1-2 record. St. James won the 2014 contest, 10-7.
Both teams will be eyeing for their first win of the 2015 season coming into tonight’s AHSAA Class 4A Region 2 match up.
St. James is coming off a 37-14 loss to Parks Crossing in week one, and a 24-17 loss to Elmore County last week.
Straughn and St. James will kickoff at 7 p.m., in Straughn.
