A local man was arrested after he allegedly caused on accident with his wife.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Spokesperson Jamie Maloy said that on Aug. 20, around 3:10 p.m., ALEA troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Alabama Highway 55 South, near the 7-mile marker.
Upon arrival, a female driver involved in the crash, stated that while traveling on Hwy. 55, her husband, Michael Ordes, pulled behind her in his vehicle.
“Michael Ordes then passed her, slammed on his brakes and caused a crash between his vehicle and his wife’s,” Maloy said. “Other witnesses confirmed the victim’s story.”
Ordes was charged with four counts of reckless endangerment because there were three children in his wife’s car at the time of the crash.
Maloy said no injuries were reported.
However, due to the relationship between the two parties, the charges are considered domestic violence.
