Royce and Margaret Edson of Andalusia are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stacey Michelle, to Sidney Bryan Newby, the son of Bryan and Leigh Newby of Andalusia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lora Mae Sutton and the late, John Sutton of Andalusia, and John and Betty Gurley of Tifton, Ga. She is also the granddaughter of Agnes Craddick and the late, Bob Craddick of Andalusia, and the late Margaret Hendrix and Harmon Edson of Andalusia.

She is a 2015 graduate of Straughn High School.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Donald and Margaret Newby of Brewton, and Gwin Prestwood and the late Tom Prestwood of Andalusia.

He is a 2011 graduate of Pleasant Home High School and is currently employed by Turner Industries in Chickasaw.

A Sept. 5 wedding at 5:30 p.m. is planned at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. All family and friends are invited to attend.
