Carver Community Center in Florala will be having its “Meet Your Neighbor” Breakfast at Carver event on Saturday morning from 8 until 11.

The event is held for people who haven’t met others who live on the opposite sides of the boarder town.

Carver Community Center Board Member Judy Burton said the event is held to raise money for the center, adding that a breakfast was held more than two months ago.

“We exceeded our expectations for the last one,” Burton said.

The menu is an event of itself as the event will offer your choice of catfish, mullet or bacon and sausage; eggs, cheese grits, biscuits, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, tomato gravy, jelly and coffee.

Cost is $7 per plate, and $4 for children under 10 years old.

Carver Community Center hosts Christmas parties, service clubs and can be rented out for family reunions.
