Andalusia Police Department officials have released the names of those who were involved in the two-vehicle wreck on Monday that sent three to the hospital.
According to Police Chief Paul Hudson, a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville, driven by Chamir Cintron, was traveling west on MLK Jr. Expressway and crossed into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a 2015 Volkswagen Passat, driven by Robin Studstill.
“The drivers and a passenger in the Pontiac Bonneville, James Lane, were injured and transported to hospitals to be treated for their injuries,” Hudson said.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the APD.
“Thankfully, we do not have accidents of this severity occur often in our city,” Hudson said. “We are grateful we have the multitude of experienced first responders that we do. When an accident of this nature or any accident occurs, please slow down your speed of travel, keep your eyes on the highway and watch for first responders.”
