A Goodhope Road couple was jailed on Wednesday on multiple counts of forgery and theft charges.
Tiffany K. Rooker, 29, has been charged with four counts of forgery II, burglary III and two counts of theft of property II.
Covington County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Anderson said Tiffany Rooker o0was charged with two counts of forgery II because she wrote checks on a victim’s account that she didn’t have permission to write checks on.
Robert J. Rooker, 32, has been charged with four counts of possession of a forged instrument, burglary III and two counts of theft of property II.
Robert’s forgery charges came as a result of cashing the checks that his wife had forged.
The burglary and theft of property charges were added for a residential burglary on Jacobs Road.
The Rookers are being held in the Covington County Jail on combined bonds of $70,000 each.
The case is still under investigation and further charges are pending, and some of the property has been recovered in the burglary.
