Hook’s Bar-B-Q fans rejoice — the popular barbecue restaurant is re-opening its doors under new management on Monday morning.
Hook’s Bar-B-Q Owner Whitney Jones said the menu will stay the same, but may add a few new items later.
“There are going to be some new things, but for the most part, for now, it’s going to stay the same until we see what we need to change,” Jones said.
The menu includes barbecue sandwiches, potatoes, ribs, pork and chicken plates, salads, and more. Those who like sauces can choose either a mild, hot or sweet sauce.
Jones said he’s pretty excited about opening his latest investment, which he bought from CCB Community Bank. For some time, he’s been investing in businesses and opening them in the area. He owns Tiger Quick Stop, which is located next to Straughn’s football stadium.
Jones said he frequented Hook’s before it closed down.
“I’m friends with the previous owners and I just though it was something I could do,” he said about owning the restaurant.
Jones said John David Kimbro will manage the restaurant.
Hook’s Bar-B-Q will be open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The restaurant’s grand opening and ribbon cutting is at 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
