Andalusia Ishinryu Karate will host its 17th annual South Alabama Open Karate tournament on Saturday at Straughn High School.
Tournament director Mark Rudd said that they expect martial art schools from a five-state area to compete.
“So far, I have about 50 students from Andalusia and Opp that have registered to compete,” Rudd said. “We expect about 150 competitors Saturday.”
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m., in the Straughn High School gymnasium.
