Straughn youth football and cheerleader sign ups will be held June 20 and 22 at Straughn High School.

 

Registration on Sat., June 20 will be from 8 a.m. until noon, and registration on Mon., June 22 will be from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

 

Registration for football players will be at the concession stand at the Straughn High School football field, and for the cheerleaders it will be in the cafeteria at SHS.

 

Football registration will cost $45 for the first child, and $40 for each additional child. This is for children between the ages of 6 and 12. Must be 6 by the Aug. 1, and must not turn 13 before Aug. 1 to be eligible. Please bring a birth certificate copy for each child being registered. Football jerseys are estimated to cost $43 for youth sizes and $47 for adult sizes. Your child may wear their jersey from last season unless they move up and that number is already taken.

 

For those registering for youth cheerleaders, must be between first and seventh grade, and must bring a copy of their birth certificate to sign ups. This will also be the only chance to be fitted for a uniform, so it is imperative that cheerleaders are at sign ups. Estimated cost of cheerleader uniforms are $165, and will include cheerleader hair bow, top, skirt, bloomers, shoes, one set of pom poms, long sleeve under shirt and a spirit shirt. Cheerleaders from last year may wear the same uniform from last year. Individual pieces may be ordered if needed.

 

Due to ordering jerseys and uniforms, the above dates are the only dates for sign ups. No late registration will be accepted.
