An Andalusia man is behind bars after Drug Task Force agents found him in possession of items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
Drug Task Force Agent Greg Jackson said Friday that agents with the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force completed a month-long investigation into the manufacturing of meth by Ricky Paul on Thursday.
“Agents were able to build a case against Ricky Paul and eventually made an arrest on him,” Jackson said. “At the time of the arrest, Paul was found to be in possession of pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and a light bulb smoking device used to smoke methamphetamine.”
Additionally, Paul was found to be in possession of methamphetamine ICE at the time agents arrested him.
Paul has been charged with second-degree manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond for the charges was set at $300,000, but he has a hold on him due to violation of parole, Jackson said.
“We are working to cure this methamphetamine epidemic here in Covington County,” Jackson said.
