A Good Samaritan is being credited with finding an Opp man’s medicine recently.

Jeff Bush of Opp heard on the radio that a local man had lost some medicine.

“I heard it on the radio,” he said. “So, I went to look for it. I found it on 8th Street. They said it was some powerful medicine.”

Bush said something told him to go look for the medicine.

“He lost it,” Bush said. “And I didn’t open it.”

Bush said he called the Opp Police Department when he located the medicine and took it to them.

An older man had reported to the OPD that he had left his bag of medicine on top of his car and had driven off with the bag on his vehicle.

OPD Assistant Police Chief Kevin Chance said that Bush has always been a Good Samaritan in Opp.

“We receive regular calls from Jeff – anything from reporting a possible crime he may have witnessed to letting us know of a vehicle broken down in the middle of the roadway blocking traffic,” Chance said.
