Three Crestview, Fla. residents found a one-way ticket to the Covington County Jail after being arrested in Florala on manufacturing charges.

Florala police officer Mitch Scofield stopped the vehicle due to a seat belt violation on Tuesday, and two in the car admitted to having pseudo-phedrine. Scofield also found open containers of alcohol in the vehicle.

“During the course of his investigation and talking with the three subjects in the car, he (Scofield) determined that

he needed to run the K9 unit around the car,” FPD Chief Sonny Bedsole said.

Bedsole said the K9 alerted to the pseudophedrine, a key ingredient in manufacturing methamphetamine.

Arrested were Troy K. Kerns, 47; Bryan K. O’Connor, 47; and Julie W. Foley, 41, and each were charged with manufacturing II and other charges.

Additionally, Kerns was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and held on a $210,000 bond; and O’Connor and Foley were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container and held on a $210,500 bond each.
