Thurston “Bert” McCart
Mr. Thurston “Bert” McCart, 86, of Red Level, passed away Fri., March 20, 2015, in Shoal Creek Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Mon., March 23, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Walker officiating. Interment followed in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette McCart of Red Level; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Donna McCart of Thomasville, Ala; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Raymond Lassiter of Andalusia; grandchildren, Tammy (Doug) Whiddon of River Falls, Chuck Lassiter of Mobile, and Russell (Jennifer) Lassiter of Andalusia; great-grandchildren, David Whiddon, Noah Whiddon, Tanner Lassiter, and Avery Lassiter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son, Jerry McCart.
Pallbearers will include Doug Whiddon, Russell Lassiter, David Whiddon, Ray Bennett, Morgan Rodgers, and Buddy Grissett.

Robert Keith “Doc” Thomas
Robert Keith “Doc” Thomas, age 57 of Andalusia, passed away March 8, 2015.
Doc was a very accomplished man and was successful at everything he endeavored. He earned a PhD in clinical Christian psychology from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He was certified in surveillance by the United Kingdom and was recently working to become certified to teach surveillance skills. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines, and he mentored at the local Army recruitment office. He was vivid storyteller who could easily make you laugh, and was an excellent marksman who enjoyed working on guns. He loved God, his family, his cats, and enjoyed simple things in life. He made friends everywhere he went and loved to travel.
Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Wilhelmina Thomas; father, RA Johnson; brother, Randy Johnson; grandparents, LeRoy and Betty Dickinson; and father-in-law, Jimmy Golden.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Bennett; brothers, Craig Thomas, Mike, Cliff and Danny Johnson; sisters, Allison White, Patrica Johnson and Pam Harrison. He is also survived by an abundance of extended love ones, including numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Robert Keith Thomas were held at 2 p.m. Sun., March 22, 2015, from Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Askew and Randal Harrison officiating.
Visitation was held Saturday at Evans Funeral Home.
