Relaxing game of golf

As the weather begins to warm up, it’s time to start spending some more time on the golf course during the weekends.

I will still play when it is cold outside or when it’s extremely hot, but there aren’t many better times than early spring to enjoy a nice relaxing day on the golf course.

This time of year, you can go out and not have to worry about having to bundle up from the cold, or worry about the possibility of a heat stroke during our scorching summers.

I’m not a great golfer by any stretch of the imagination, but it is a game that I thoroughly enjoy to play.  On my best days, I’m lucky to break 90.

The thing about golf is you can allow it to break you down easily. You hit a bad shot, and the next thing you know, you can’t even hit the ball without catching it fat or topping it. Hitting it fat is when your golf club hits the ground before hitting the ball. Topping the ball is when you hit the golf ball near the top, or above it’s equator.

I try not to let those kinds of things get to me, which frankly, I don’t always do so well.

There is always a chance I can make a good shot if I just keep my head clear, but I know as soon as I get a little frustrated it is all going to go downhill quickly. I try not to get too frustrated out there, because I know that I don’t spend the time practicing that it takes to really get the hang of the sport.

I’ve also found that if I just relax, don’t let it bother me and just enjoy being outside playing a game I love, then I tend to have a better time.

Once you just relax and just soak in the moment, you can’t help but smile and enjoy yourself.

One of the best places around here to enjoy the wonderful game of golf is at Evans Barnes Golf Course on the LBW campus.

It is a fairly challenging nine-hole course that has never been in better shape then it is now.

I usually spend Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon out there enjoying a round with friends.

I’ve found, that for me, golf is one of the most therapeutic activities and just allows me to clear my mind of the clutter.
