Brantley downs PHS girls, boys

Pleasant Home’s girls and boys both lost to Brantley on the road Friday night.

The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Eagles 39-17.

River Baldwin scored the lone points for the Eagles in the first period.

J. Self and Baldwin scored three points in the second.

C. Godwin, Baldwin, J. Forehand put up 9 points in the third and Baldwin and Self scored three in the final period.

For the Lady Bulldogs;, Saquaya Lane scored 2 in the first; Sydnee Bryan hit a 3-pointer; Payton Burnett had a 3-pointer; Amanhi Upshaw scored 6 in the first.

Burnett hit 6 points in the second; Upshaw had two in the second.

Bryan hit another 3-pointer in the third, while Burnett had 2 points and Upshaw added 1.

Lane hit 4 in the fourth; Burnett had 2; and Upshaw had 5 in the fourth.

Upshaw led the Lady Dawgs with 14; Burnett contributed 13.

Baldwin led the Lady Eagles with 7.

 

PHS 26, BHS 40

Brantley proved too much for the Eagles Friday night, as they were defeated 40-26.

C. Gunter and R. Scott had 3 pointers for the Eagles in the first and A. Myrick added 2 points.

G. Barton added 2 points for the Eagles in the second.

T. Fantroy, Myrick, and T. Veasey each had 2 points in the third.

Gunter, Fantroy, W.Weaver, and Veasey contributed 10 in the fourth.

Brantley scored 9 in the first; 6 in the second; 10 in the third and 15 in the fourth.
