A Dozier man was killed and two others were injured in a three-vehicle accident on the county line Sunday afternoon, according to Alabama State Troopers.
Willie Ray Slawson, 81, was killed when his 1996 Ford Taurus collided with a 2010 Hyundai Sonata driven by Sandra Kaye Moody, 67, of Dozier.
After colliding with Moody’s vehicle, Slawson’s Taurus then struck a 1998 Dodge Ram driven by 47-year-old Michael Luciano of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.
Slawson, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Crenshaw County Coroner Ronnie Turner.
Moody and the passenger in her car were transported to Andalusia Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The crash occurred on U.S. 29 at the 61.1-mile marker, one mile south of Dozier.
