RUBIN CHESTEEN

Mr. Rubin Chesteen, 95, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 11, 2014, at Andalusia Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Sat., Dec. 13, from Macedonia United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The Rev. Douglas Golden will officiate. Visitation will be one-hour prior to services

Mr. Chesteen is survived by his sisters, Margaret Worthen of Lakeland, Fla. and Macie Bartosh of Nebraska; nieces, Linda (Charles) Wiggins and Debbie (Lee) Williams; a sister-in-law, Peggy Chesteen Caylor of Andalusia; nephews, Albert Atkison, Jerry (Kim) Howell, and Mickey (Gayle) Howell; and a number of great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Howell, Mickey Howell, Lee Williams, Mickey Howell Jr., Ben Howell and Richard Hammett.

WILLIAM E. “BILLY” MACON

Mr. William E. “Billy” Macon, 71, passed away on Thurs., Dec. 11, 2014, in Montgomery, after an illness.

A celebration of life service will be held in Foreman Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. today, Sat., Dec. 13. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one-hour prior to service.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1943 in Marion, to John and Virginia Macon. He attended school in Andalusia and at Auburn University, and spent most of his adult life in Montgomery, where he owned and operated Bil-Mac Inc., Contractors. He proudly served in the Marines during the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shea and Carter Bryars; three grandchildren, Chapel, Peyton and Carter IV of Birmingham; brother and sister-in-law, John and Joy Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bob Brown; nieces, Jaune Pierce and Joann Norris; and nephews, Ryan Eiland and Russ Eiland.

LEISA A. DUTCHER

Mrs. Leisa A. Dutcher, 46, of Elba, passed away Wed., Dec. 10, 2014, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m., Sat., Dec. 13, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Eric Bates will officiate. Interment will follow in the Sedan City Cemetery in Sedan, Kansas. Family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service.

Survivors include her husband, Shawn Dutcher; mother, Audrey Liddiard; sons, Najee, Matthew, Mark and Nikolas; daughters, Jennifer, Maria, Susan, Amber, Amanda and Ashley; sisters, Denise Rainer, Teresa Peet, and Waneta Liddiard; grandchildren, Jayden, Jacob, Miles, MacKenzie, Neviah, Jaiden, Za’Mya, Jayla and Gabriel; and nieces and nephews, Robert, Victoria, Michele, Jessica, Christopher, Cameron, Kayla, Kurtis, Kristen and Khloe.

Mrs. Dutcher is preceded in death by her father, Ted Liddiard; and her brother, Trent Anthony.

 

BETTY J. CANANT

Mrs. Betty J. Canant, 78, of Andalusia, passed away Tues., Dec. 9, 2014, in the Opp hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 14 from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetary.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Foreman Funeral Home.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Charlie Brown of Columbiana and Donna and Ricky B. Bass of Andalusia; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Allen and Miriam Canant of Andalusia; grandchildren, Kellie Speer, Jeb Brown, Jake Brown, Nicholas Bass, Ashley Poweel, Mac Canant and Matt Canant; her great-grandchildren, Sage Speer, Baker Speer, Ava Grace Brown, Joel Ryan Bass, Wilson Bruce Bass, Aubree Claire Powell, Eddisen Powell, Brenton Canant and Collin Canant; one brother, Joe Bradley of Opp; two sisters, Shirley Cauley of Opp and Catherine Davis of Andalusia; a stepbrother, Willard Bradley of Opp; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Canant; and her parents, Sam Wilson and Clara Bush.

SHERRELL TODD THRASH

Mr. Sherrell Todd Thrash, 57, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Dec. 8, 2014, in the Andalusia hospital.

A graveside service in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery located in Sylacauga, will take place today at 1 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Thrash of Andalusia; son, Jeremy Thrash of Colorado; step-sons, Jimmy Johnson and Alex Hamby, both of Andalusia; granddaughter, Alayna Thrash; grandsons, Breyden Thrash, Colton Hamby and Kaden Hamby; stepgrandson, Jay Abulencia; mother, Hazel Thrash of Pensacola, Fla.; and brother, Gary Thrash of Georgia.
