The Red Level Tigers’ varsity boys couldn’t fend off a late comeback by the W.S. Neal Eagles, and lost 59-53.

The Tigers started off hot pouncing out to a 15-7 lead after the first period. After the end of the second period the Tigers were up 24-18.

By the end of the third the Tigers pulled out to an 8 point lead at 38-30, but the Eagles got hot in the fourth, scoring 29 points for a 59-53 victory over the Tigers.

Hunter Carpenter was the Tigers’ top scorer with 20 points, and Jeffery Purdue finished with 11 points for the Tigers.

“We played hard, and led for three and half quarters,” Tigers’ head coach Allen Catrett said. “We got into to much foul trouble, and we have to learn play smarter when finishing games.”
