Two people have been airlifted to burn centers after a fire with personal injuries in Opp.

Opp Fire Chief Cory Spurlin said his department was dispatched to 302 Batten Street for the incident.

Two were transported to Channell-Lee Stadium and airlifted.

Spurlin said one victim was taken to USA Medical Center in Mobile and the other to an unknown burn center.

“We are working with the Opp Police Department and the Fire Marshal’s office,” he said. “We are planning a press conference later today.”
