Pleasant Home’s B-team knocked off the Zion Chapel Rebels Tuesday night in Pleasant Home 33-15.
“We started off slow tonight going down 9-3 after the first quarter, but after the first quarter the guys picked it up, and started playing with some rhythm and hitting some shots,” Eagles head coach Troy Turman said.
After trailing in the first quarter, the Eagles came out and scored 12 points to the Rebels’ 4 to go up 15-13. Robert Scott had 6 points in the quarter and Nic Woods added 5 points for the Eagles.
“In the third quarter, the guys really came out strong with a good rhythm and rotation,” Turman said. “We outscored them 13-0 in the third quarter.”
After the third quarter the Eagles held a 28-13 lead, and they never looked back after that. The Eagles also outscored the Rebels 5-2 in the final quarter to secure a 33-15 victory to go to 1-0 on the year.
“For my B-team guys, we have to learn to play hard on defense and box out,” Turman said. “For the first game I was proud of the intensity that we played with.”
The Eagles were led in scoring by Nic Woods with 10 points, and Robert Scott added 7 points.
