Another man has been arrested in connection to a burglary and theft of a local business in September.
The Andalusia Police Department arrested William Brandon Mims, 21, of Andalusia, Tuesday in connection with Christopher John Atkins, who was previously charged in a burglary and theft of a business located on River Falls Street.
Atkins was arrested on Sept. 15, after a search warrant was obtained for his residence, and for a vehicle located at the residence. While executing the search warrant, investigators discovered several items in plain view that were associated with a set of burglaries that occurred at a set of storage units in Andalusia sometime between Sept. 5 and Sept. 7 of this year. Those items along with others from the burglary at the local business were seized.
Mims was arrested yesterday after coming back into town, APD Investigator Brandon Averill said.
Mims was held at the Covington County Jail on a $125,000 bond for burglary III and theft of property I, but has since made bond.
