Lady Wildcats top Lady Eagles

The Florala Lady Wildcats outlasted the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles 19-12 in girls’ junior varsity basketball action Wednesday in Pleasant Home.
The Lady Eagles jumped out in front of the Lady Wildcats, in the first period 6-2, thanks to some quick scores.
The Lady Wildcats clawed their way back to a 9-9 tie at halftime, and never trailed again in the ball game.
“We came out in zone, and then quickly had to change to a zone,” Lady Wildcats’ head coach Troy Stewart said. “They handled and moved the ball to well for us to stay in man.”
The Lady Wildcats were led in scoring by Jakiyah Griffin, who had 14 points. Kaiden LeMaire had 3 points for the the Lady Wildcats.
Abi McDuffie led the Lady Eagles with 4 points. Allie Garner and Hope Gunter each added 3 points for the Lady Eagles.
