Pleasant Home will mash up against the top-ranked Brantley Bulldogs tomorrow night in region action at BHS.
The Eagles are coming off a bought 41-14 loss to Florala last week. Brantley handed now No. 9 and then undefeated McKenzie a 49-6 loss.
PHS head football coach Chris Mason said it’s a great opportunity to play a team with the amount of success that its had.
“We’re trying to get to where we are at that success level,” Mason said. “They’re very well coached and attack all over the field.”
Mason said while the team hasn’t won a game this season, the players are still excited about playing.
“The challenge this week is to make Brantley do the little things right,” he said. “I’m looking for our kids to have a positive mindset this week.”
Mason said he doesn’t want the team to play like its backed into a corner.
“We’ve got nothing to lose,” he said.
Preparation for this week’s game hasn’t changed at all, the coach said.
Mason added that the team has thrown in some “wrinkles” on both sides of the ball.
“We’ve worked on us,” he said. “That’s all you can do.
“You also try to find things to exploit.”
Mason said that he’s been pleased with the effort the kids have given this week at practice.
Kick off tomorrow night is at 7.
