It may have taken five sets, but the Straughn Lady Tigers battled back and beat Goshen 14-25, 25-7, 23-25, 25-16, 15-11 in regular season action earlier tonight.
The Lady Tigers were originally scheduled to play in a tri-match with GHS and New Brockton, but the Lady Gamecocks didn’t show up because of the bad weather.
Straughn’s Jacie Williamson led with 10 kills; Hannah Lawless had nine kills; Meredith Rogers had six aces; and Katelyn Kinsaul had 14 assists.
SHS will be back in action tomorrow night against Geneva and Elba in a tri-match. The Lady Tigers will also be celebrating senior night.
