Services set for Florala officer

Funeral services have been announced for Florala Assistant Police Chief Paul Adams.
Florala Chief Sonny Bedsole said Thursday that the visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., tonight, Fri., Sept. 26, at Central Baptist Church, located at 951 South Ferdon Blvd., in Crestview, Fla.
The funeral will take place at 11 a.m., Sat., Sept. 27, at Central Baptist Church.
The 31-year-old was found dead inside his residence on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m.
Bedsole said Monday that Adams was sick in the early morning hours with flu-like symptoms, and his girlfriend found him dead on the couch in the living room.
Adams also served as the city’s K9 officer, and had been a member of the department for five years.
Bedsole remembered Adams as a “friend and a hell of an officer.”
Adams is survived by his parents, Warren and Tammy Adams; son, Warren Russell Adams; daughter, Jocelyn Rose Adams; grandparents Mary Evelyn Adams and Tom and Helen Goss; two brothers, Tyler (Megan) Adams of Orlando and Landon Adams; sister, Angel (Juan) Perez; and adopted brothers, Michael (Shawna) Suggs and Brandon (Crystal) Davis; six nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
