DirecTV to carry SEC Network

DirecTV will be offering the SEC Network to is 20 million subscribers as the satellite company signed with the new sports network on Monday, according to media reports.
SEC Network also signed with Comcast, Dish Network and Time Warner earlier this year.
“Our agreement with DIRECTV continues to push the SEC Network towards one of the most successful network launches when it debuts on August 14,” said Sean Breen, Disney and ESPN Media Networks Senior Vice President, Affiliate Sales. “We’re proud to deliver the SEC Network nationwide via DIRECTV in advance of the Texas A&M and South Carolina game later this month.”
The SEC Network will launch on Aug. 14 with the first college football game to aired on Aug. 28.
Andy Cable will broadcast the SEC Network on channel No. 71.
Opp Cablevision signed a contract to carry the network on Tuesday, and general manager and CFO Stacey Parker said it will run on channel No. 73.
