DONAL RAY GRIMES

Donal Ray Grimes, 59, of Dozier, passed away Tues., July 8, 2014, at his residence.

Funeral services will be Sat., July 12, at 10 a.m. from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Canant officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Fri., July 11, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Foreman Funeral Home.

Grimes is survived by his son, Donald Ray Grimes of Dozier; daughters, Crystal Dianna Grimes of Birmingham and Regina Grimes of Blountstown, Fla.; grandchildren, Alexis Danielle Robinson and Dylan Grimes, both of Birmingham; brothers, Raymond Grimes, David Grimes, Tony Grimes and Lavaughn (Laura) Grimes, all of Dozier; and sister, Phyllis (Kenneth) Maddox of Elba.

Pallbearers will be Tim Richburg, Kenneth Maddox, James Hartjen, Rory Odom, Jake Berry and Kevin Maddox. Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Worley, Robert Senn and Ted Grimes.

LOTHER WAYNE SAULS

Lother Wayne Sauls, 79, of Dothan, passed away Mon., July 7, 2014, at Noland Hospital, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held Thurs., July 10, at 10 a.m. at the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Tim Willis officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from today, Wed., July 9, from 5 until 7 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to Crohns and Colitis Foundation, P.O. Box 1245, Alberta Lea, Minn. 56007-9976.

Sauls was born May 5, 1935, in Andalusia to the late William Andrew Sauls Jr. and Nona Kathleen Butler Sauls. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for over 15 years. He was an Elk and Mason.

Sauls was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an avid farmer, fisherman and Alabama fan.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma Dunn Sauls of Dothan; two daughters, Karla Jones (Jeff) of Dothan and Tara McNeal (Alan) of Dothan; brother, Murble Sauls (Wanza) of Illinois; grandchildren Amber Hughes (Justin), Jared McNeal and Haley McNeal; great-grandchild, Hartlee Hughes; and many nieces and nephews.

BIRTY KATHERINE CONLEY

Birty Katherine Conley, 82, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., July 5, 2014, at Jackson Hospital.

Funeral services were held Wed. July 9, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bradley officiating. Interment will be held in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Folsomdale, Ky. Fri., July 11 at 2 p.m. with Conley’s son, Mike Hayden officiating.

Conley is survived by her daughters, Karen Hayden (Robert) Pfeifer of Oregon and Patricia Hallford of Andalusia; son, Joseph Michael (Billie) Hayden of Andalusia; nine grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

AYDEN CHARLES STOKES

Ayden Charles Stokes, 5, of Headland, formerly of Andalusia, passed away from a lengthy illness, Mon., July 7, 2014, at Children’s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held today, Thurs., July 10, at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Bradley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Stokes is survived by his father, Charles Stokes of Andalusia; grandparents, Todd and Sandra Carr of Headland; grandfather, Chuck Stokes; great- grandmother, Marie Pate of Andalusia; great- grandmother, Angie Stokes; great-grandparents, Ken and Judy Carr of Headland; aunts, Erica Bullard of Andalusia, Lindsey (Tanner) Carroll of Destin, Fla.. Megan Stokes, Heather Stokes and Astin Carr of Headland; great aunts, Ashley (Randy) Edson of Andalusia and Amanda Owen of Biloxi, Miss.; great-uncle Hinton Pate of Andalusia; and numerous cousins.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Hilton Pate, Gary Wayne Pate, Caleb Owen  and Tony Pate.
Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor “Toot” Jowers.
