Adrenaline win sub-state Saturday

Andalusia’s 14U Softball All-Stars, also known as Adrenaline, outscored their opponents 33-2 and won the sub-state tournament at Johnson Park last weekend.
On Friday night, Adrenaline defeated Sylacauga’s 14U team, 16-1; and then on Saturday, the local team defeated Flomaton 14U, 21-1; and beat Sylacauga, 12-1.
Additionally, the local team got the chance to play a couple 16U teams in Sylacauga and Atmore. The Adrenaline lost 16-1 to Sylacauga, and 16-14 to Atmore.
“I’m very proud of the girls,” Adrenaline coach Buddy Manring said. “They played hard all weekend.”
Adrenaline pitcher Tessa Walker pitched in all three 14U games.
Olivia Amerson put together the highest batting average for her team with a .769. Walker came in second with a .706.
Millie Manring compiled a .684 average with a team-high four RBIs.
Zaria Jones had 14 hits to lead the team.
The team batting average for the weekend was 12.2.
The Adrenaline ended their season at sub-state.
