In spite not everyone showing up to play in the Amateur Development Professional Football League’s Semi-Pro All-Star game on Saturday in Atlanta, the local Covington Raiders performed well.
Linebacker Caleb Varner recorded three tackles, two of which were for a loss; Chris Booker returned punts and kickoffs; Jason Jackson played at left tackle; and Dillion Motes played at left guard.
Varner, Booker, Jackson and Motes will all again be playing for the All-Stars the second week of August in Tuscaloosa at Bryant-Denny Stadium, where they will play two games against Germany and Holland.
