Andalusia rising junior Ian Peek put up a good fight over the weekend, but fell in two matches at the 2014 Linda Stewart Memorial at the Westgate Tennis Center in Dothan.

Peek played against Alec Aliabadi, who was the No. 1 seed at Houston Academy; and Robert Dunlap, who was the No. 3 seed at HA.

Peek’s mom, Barbara, said that her son got it to deuce and ad multiple times.

Additionally, Matthew Beasley, an upcoming sixth grader at Andalusia Elementary, also played in the tournament.

Peek competed against 13 other boys in his division.
