Covington County’s 8U All-Star Cal Ripken baseball team will be playing in the state tournament in Lincoln after Brewton declined its invitation to play in the tournament this weekend.

Brewton finished runner up to champion, Opp. CC finished in third place of the double elimination bracket in last weekend’s exhibition.

Opening ceremonies are on Friday, and each team will compete in pool play on Saturday and Sunday morning. Based on how each team finishes in pool play, each will be seeded going into single elimination bracket play on Sunday afternoon.
