More than 200 people are expected to turn out for today’s butterfly release and memorial celebration at Springdale.

The event, which is sponsored by Comfort Care Hospice, is designed to remember those who have passed away.

“Each year it keeps getting bigger,” said Vickie Wacaster of CCH. “Last year we have 120-150 people, and this year we are expecting over 200.”

During the event, a poem is read, names of the patients CCH has served are called aloud, and the program is opened up to the guests to see if there are any names they want to mention.

The event will kickoff at 10 a.m.
