‘Strangers’ say thanks for help

You hear about all the bad people and horrible things they do, but I would like everyone to know about someone we met on Memorial Day.
We decided to take our boat to Gantt Lake on Memorial Day and just look around, we put in at a landing off Hwy. 29. We made our way down the lake and when we were in sight of the dam our forward motion stopped. My husband used the trolling motor to pull up to the nearest dock so that he could check out the prop. Mike Finley, an officer on the Andalusia Police Department, was working around his boat house. When he saw we were in trouble he walked out into the water, looked at the prop and when he determined the hub had burned out, immediately offered us a loaner. After Mike repaired our boat, he would not accept any payment, just told us to enjoy the rest of the day.
We are all good to family and friends, but to go above and beyond for total strangers … This world would be a better place if we all followed his example. Thanks again to Mike Finley.
