Opp High student Derek Savage competes in the discus event Friday at Memorial Stadium.
Opp’s Orlando Lacey placed first in the preliminaries of the 100- and 200-meter dashes Friday of the Class 3A state track and field meet at Memorial Stadium in Selma.
In other action, Bobcats track members Greg House finished 22nd in the boys 400-meter dash; and Derek Savage came in fourth in the discus throw.
The finals in each of Opp’s events will be held today.
